Jesus can be with you - all you have to do is ask that he join you on this path. And he can help deliver you from whatever circumstance you are going through in your life right now. If you just call upon him, you will be amazed at the power of God in your life.
Salvation comes from believing that God sent Jesus, his son, to die for our sins – and when we begin to believe and have faith – he tells us that anyone who comes to him, believes and repents through confession will be saved!
We would be happy to walk you through how you can get to know Jesus more personally. We are here for you!
The first step is knowing that no-one is perfect. Roman’s 3:10 states
“As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one:”
Followed by Romans 3:23 telling us that we all have sinned and we all need forgiveness in our lives. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” God sent his son, Jesus, to die for us on the cross so that we might be saved and have peace and everlasting life with him in Heaven.
He loved us enough to sacrifice for us. He said we are worthy. In Romans 5:8, scripture tells us: “But God commanded his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Sin is something we are born with, but it separates us from God. Because of this separation, we cannot have a relationship with him on our own. But God loves us so much that he made a way... Romans 5:12 indicates, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
In Romans 6:23, we read further “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” And in John 14:6, Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through me.” How do we go about this? We believe in our hearts, confess with our mouths and start living a new life with a changed heart.
Romans 10:9-11 tells us the process: “9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.”
The Good News is that Jesus died so we can have a relationship with God and be with him forever. He rose on the third day and God sent us a promise through Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 tells the story of his burial and resurrection on the third day.
So, as you read in Romans 10:13 you see the Good News Story and the Gift from God:
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
To ask Jesus to be a part of your life, first believe, and then say this prayer:
"Dear God, I know I am a sinner, and I believe that you sent Jesus Christ your son to die for my sins and that you raised him to life again. I ask that you forgive me of my sins. I want to trust that you will guide me as my Lord and Savior and ask that Jesus come into my heart and help me to do your will. I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen."
Then, tell someone. Tell your family, your friends, tell us at the next church service because you will need support.
Begin to read the Bible. It is a tool to help guide you through circumstances in life.
Finally, repent. Which is to turn from your old ways and begin a new life with Jesus in your heart and living a life for God.
We are here to help, contact us to say the prayer with you or for next steps if you have said this prayer today.
